Easter

Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012
Grandma Susie came over last night with a special delivery from the Easter Bunny. G got a new pair of jammies, some new hot wheels, and his first egg hunt. This morning, G started the day hunting eggs using his basket from Grandma Sue. (Wearing his new jammies from the "Easter Bunny").
Ready to head downstairs and hunt some eggs!
 hunting...
 running...
 exploring...
 Putting them in his basket.
The stuffed lion we got him with the basket from Grandma Sue.
We got him one of those wind mill things too:)
 All dressed up at church!
Checking out the Heron with Gracie.
After a nap and lunch we headed outside to play. It was SO warm and nice. G played with the basketball and walked/ran/fell all over our street.

OWIE! First bloody knee. He didn't even bat an eye.

I love that he's always running away from us, looking backwards in photos.

 Giving Bailey kisses.
It was so warm (and he kept tripping on his shoes) so we decided to go barefoot!
 Going on a shoe-less adventure!
 What's around the bend?
April 8 and warm enough to go without shoes!
This is where he discovered sand left over from our snow earlier in the year...can you imagine where this is going?
 Of course he threw some...
and of course he ate some.
YUCK! He thinks it's funny when we say "no" or "icky".
Had to hold him to down to get a shot of his dirty face.
BATH TIME. (We do a lot of baths around here!)
Naked story time with Grandma Kathy.

His haul...Thankfully both Grandmas, I mean Easter Bunnies, did not include candy in the eggs. Instead he got coins and healthy yogurt melts and Bunny (not fishy) crackers. (We LOVE Annie's)
When Grandma left we went BACK outside. It was still so nice our he went in just a sweater and a diaper...and shoes!
Storytime in his new Easter jammies from Grandma Kathy.

G just let out a GIANT burp. Made Daddy, Mommy and himself laugh!

HAPPY EASTER! Hope your day was filled with HOPE!

17 months

Another FUN filled busy month of learning and growing! Mommy is officially working full-time and sometimes it feels like there isn't enough time in the day. Our afternoon/evening playtime and bedtime routines are even more important and fun now that we don't get all day together. G is talking more and more every day and will usually attempt to repeat any word you ask him to. Sometimes successfully. Usually he gets at least part of the sound correct. G LOVES books now and will spend hours "reading" his books to himself or asking us to read them to him. We ended the month on Spring Break and promptly caught a cold/flu. Both Mommy and G struggled all week to get better. So much for that "to-do" list. It's okay though, lots of relaxing and playing happened instead (much to G's delight)!
 BUBBLES!! March 8, 2012
This is the first time G "played" with the bubbles in an imaginative way (making a beard, putting them on his head, etc) instead of just blowing or waving his hands around.
March 9, 2012- bedtime play. G loves to line things up...

He did it all by himself!
Yummmmm, Daddy  made chocolate chip cookies!
March 14, 2012
I think Mommy was trying to wipe his face...
G is not allowed to climb on the coffee table...
this is what he looks like when you say "no".
 Costco boxes make awesome toys!
(Also, pretty sure he's pooping in this one:)

Lining up more toys!
March, 17, 2012
G's first St. Pat's Dash...and it SNOWED!
Already to go...just have to find the rest of our group!

All smiles at the start...lasted about 2 miles
G threw such a fit in the stroller that I let him out and he ended up walking the last mile or so (I'm super glad I brought the "leash"). We called Daddy and made him come back and cross the finish line with us. G loved the balloon arches at the end but we were COLD and WET so we hurried back to the car for dry clothes, food, and heat!
All snug in his fleece jammies munching on some Pirate's Booty! What a trooper!
St. Pat's bedtime play...this is supposed to be CALMING!
 What a goof!
Daddy snuggles and giggles!
 March 18, 2012...building!
How cool is that?!! (Just a little help from mom to get the "bridge" stacked on top of the triangle.)
 Such concentration!
 Goof ball
I think someone (Mommy) told him "no".
G sleeping hard! Look at that squished face! (March21, 2012)
Invisible roller coaster! (March 24, 2012)
G and Mommy took a 3 hours nap!!
Look how I found him right after bath time! Silly boy! (March 25, 2012)
 What a goof!
G has fallen in love with books! We're thrilled!
 Where'd G go?
THERE he is!!
Rocking with his new "Brown Bear". (March 27, 2012)
 Kisses!
 Daredevil!

 Timber!
Pushing cars down the slide is one of G's favorite things!
 And off the futon!
 Building with Dad!
 TIMBER!
Pushing his cars under the futon.
Building...G is very serious about what block goes where.
Picking just the right block.
Working on our wall..
SO happy! Look what Mommy and I did!
2 seconds later...NOT happy!
3 seconds later, time to start over!
First egg roll- March 29, 2012
It was a hit! Mommy had to fight for her fair share!
After the egg roll came yogurt...
The spoon ended up on the floor and G "finger" painted instead.

 It was all fun until...
 ...clapping...
...got it in his eyes. OWIE!
BATH TIME!

Yogurt face!
This would be G NOT napping.
April 5, 2012...we have no idea where the scratch came from.

 Bath time music with Daddy.
The kid likes his toys in a line.
Very particular about where they go.
 Just right.
 Two in one hand!

 Story time with Daddy.

When you wake up in the morning and it's a quarter to three...you brush your teeth!

Reading all by himself! He LOVES his books!!
