"The" Park

There's this little game we play every day called "What can we do to wear Griffin out so he'll nap/go to bed?"     As long as the weather is decent we usually end up heading down the street to our park. Bailey loves it too! Sometimes we both go- other times its a chance for one of the adults to take a break or do dishes. Sometimes we even go twice a day! It's almost always a fight getting him to come home- that part is no fun but the hours of free entertainment are worth every second of carrying home a crying toddler.

June 24th:
"I do! I DO! I DOOOOO!" ~ So Griffin walks Bailey!
 Oh NO! Wait up Bailey!!
Bailey does not complain about our frequent trips!

 Friends and MUD!!

It was a boots kind of day!

He walked up and down this ramp for over 30 minutes...such a weird kid! But whatever makes him happy keeps this Momma happy!!

 Wrong hand Griffin!
When he plays baseball for the UW, these photos will be priceless:)

Oh Happy Day!

July 5th: A day FULL OF EXCITEMENT!!
We've worked really hard and saved up enough money to finally work on our yard-  so today was STUMP REMOVAL day!!! Over a year in the making!!
 He LOVES to watch machines.
Yes, we let him stand on the back of the couch and no it isn't safe but we're always right there with him (except when I stand up to take a picture:)

Something arrived in the mail today!!! Griffin's two-wheeler!!
Unfortunately, he had just woken up from a nap and was a little overwhelmed.
 Momma!
 Giving it another shot!

SO COOL!! We love it! And he's getting better everyday!

4th of July

4th of July

We had a super low-key 4th of July this year. Perfect for us, a busy stubborn toddler and grandparents that had to work the next morning. Griff had just gotten over a bug and Daddy wasn't feeling well so I took Griff outside to play and worked on cleaning/organizing our garage while Daddy rested inside. Then Grandpa and Grandma Imholt came over to BBQ for dinner. They left before dark to take care of Katie, their dog. Our neighborhood was pretty dull this year- no one on our end of the street were having parties or lighting off fireworks. We did walk around a little bit after dark since Griff couldn't sleep with all the noise. We were able to see quite a bit once we got out of our cul-de-sac and then we went home and watched the big Seattle display on tv. A great day!
BUTTONS! Griff loves to push buttons!! Any buttons will do and the spare microwave kept him occupied...for a few minutes anyway.
Our all-American boy!
I blocked our drive way with our car so that Griff would have a boundary. He played outside and rode his rocket up and down the drive way for hours while I organized and cleaned our garage.

 Time out: someone wasn't listening:(
 Pool time!!
Yes, there are holes in it so the air doesn't stay- that's why it's all droopy.

   Airplane!
 Dinner time!
We discovered he loves corn-on-the-cob, raw or cooked, today!

We do this frequently...listening is a hard skill to learn!
Watching the fire works on TV- it was LATE when he was finally too tired for the "bang" to keep him awake.
