Griffin has been changing so much this month. He has gone from needing me to put him on his hands and knees to not only being able to get up on all fours by himself but he can push himself into plank pose too! He also gets himself up onto all fours and rocks back and forth. He's gotten really good at scooting backwards...much to his frustration this only takes him farther away from his toys! He has "crawled" forward twice so far. Once it was hands only, the next time it was feet only. He can also get himself up into a sitting position. That has really helped him play better now that he isn't stuck lying down. He has fully entered into teething with his two bottom center teeth completely in, one upper tooth that cut through and then disappeared, and two more bottom teeth just below the surface. This has made for very sleepless nights (back to waking up every hour) and a grumpy feeverish baby. Hopefully we just get this done and over with, mommy and baby need some rest!
This has been a super busy month. We helped throw two showers for Griffin's cousin Makenna and at the second one, Griffin got his first tooth (May 22)!! His second tooth came through a week later on May 29 when we celebrated Aunt Janae's 27th Birthday. He now has his 2 bottom center teeth! We also had our annual spring garage sale. The whole neighborhood participates. On Friday it was so warm out we set up the pool and Griffin, Pax and Porter enjoyed a dip. Griffin loved it and made himself giggle when he splashed. On June 4th we went to the Zoo for Educator appreciation day (we got in free)! The weather was beautiful and Ryan and I really enjoyed ourselves. Griffin on the other hand was in full-blown teething mode and slept from 11am-9pm, except for a few moments of awake time. He was also running a fever and extra grumpy. He was the same way on Sunday June 5th when we celebrated cousin Kellie's birthday at Adam and Michelle's lake house on Lake Sammamish.
Some other firsts: On Friday May 20th I successfully transfered a sleeping Griffin from the car to his crib without waking him up. And on May 31, Griffin slept on his tummy in his crib for the first time...for two whole hours! We also lowered the crib mattress a notch this month in anticipation that it won't be long until we find him standing in there! Did I mention no more pacifiers too. Griffin pretty much quit using them on his own, so I packed them away to keep me from offering them!
