21 months

We are just 3 months (one quarter) away from having a 2 year-old! Holy smokes! And once again, Griffin is talking so much! He's a little chatterbox and copy cat...now you really have to watch what you say! He's funny and likes to make you laugh. He's busy busy busy. But the MOST exciting thing?! He likes and wants to sleep in HIS bed! He is now consistently putting himself to sleep at night and will wake up and wander in to our room. Usually he'll sleep with us for a couple hours (mostly because I'm too tired to want to take him back to his room) and then he'll wake up and ask me to go to "bed please". So I will stumble wearily down the hall way, drop him in his bed, and within seconds he's back to sleep! Unfortunately he's usually awake and back in our bed just an hour or two later BUT I think we're headed in the right direction. Now I just need to figure out how to get him to sleep longer stretches and I'll be so well rested I won't know what to do with myself!

This has been our first real summer "off" as two teachers and it is proving to be heavenly! July has also proved to be way less busy and more laid back than June... so less pictures and just a couple posts:) We went to the Arlington Fly In, Legion Park, celebrated Mommy's 32nd birthday, Great-Grandpa Jerry's 80th birthday, and had Pax overnight! Other than that, once again- enjoy my numerous pics! I find him too cute not to include so many:)

July 15, 2012~ We headed over to Grandpa and Grandma's to celebrate July birthdays.

July 18- we had lunch with Grandma Kathy and enjoyed an outdoor concert!

 The music was really great!

 Griff and Makenna played on the grass and had lots of fun!

 

Thank goodness Grandma was nearby...he climbed up by himself!! And would have jumped over (2 story fall) if she wasn't there. I think I grew at least one new gray hair today!

Saturday July, 21~ We went to a free Casper Baby Pants show at the Everett Public Library. Mom and Dad thoroughly enjoyed themselves...while Griff played shy and clingy the whole time. I think the number of people overwhelmed him. I think our next show will have to be outdoors where he doesn't feel so constrained.

 July 30 we hung out with the Lenz family, visiting from Arizona.

 August 2nd we went to see Tim Noah at Silver Lake with Tracy and Ashlynn...

 the music was really weird and disappointing BUT

 August 6, 21 months old and his first sucker!

  

Today is the day we had our first ultrasound for Baby Barci #2!! It looks like we're about 7 weeks along and due around March 21, 2013!
