For the last few weeks Griff has cried a lot at night, had pink in his diapers in the morning, and made it clear that it occasionally hurts to pee. I took him into his pediatrician about three weeks ago and they decided based on the blood and white blood cells in his urine that he had a UTI. They also said if the symptoms came back to see a Pediatric Urologist. So when his symptoms returned the day after his anti-biotic prescription ended...we got a referral to Children's Hospital in Seattle. They wanted to see us within a week so I took off work a little early and Ryan took the whole day off so we could both go. My mom ended up joining us, which turned out to be a HUGE help! Griff is so busy now it was nice having three sets of eyes on him!

G and Grandma snacking and playing in the backseat.
Chauffeur Daddy
Who knew baby wipes could be a toy?!
Snacking and waiting...this is post ultrasound and the doctor was running about an hour late. Griff did NOT enjoy the ultrasound but did great running around the waiting room.
Giving kisses to the stuffed penguin:) What a sweet boy!
Griff also HATED and fought getting weighed and measured. He helped our nurse get rid of the scale after he was all done with it. He weighs about 26.7lbs now.
It didn't fit so he had to turn it around:)
Entering his stats into the computer.
Blood pressure on the ankle...he was fine with that...
On the arm...this looks cool...
We don't have pictures of it but once it inflated he was SO done. It took nursing for him to lay still long enough for it to work.
Back to "helping"...
Hehehehe! G wouldn't sit still so I could put his diaper back on after the Doc checked him out.
The fish tanks were Griffin's favorite part of Children's...he especially loved the crabs!
Elevator....wheeee!
All done!!
We headed to the U-Village Ram for dinner since it was rush hour and we were hungry! Griff was wiggly squiggly but did great...and made a huge mess!
Griff was a big fan of their ketchup...and fries. (So were the adults!)
Ice cubes also make good toys:)
Yummm! Grilled Cheese!
Someone should tell him you don't use a spoon with a sandwich:)
Stealing some of Daddy's.
MORE KETCHUP!
All that salty ketchup makes for one thirsty toddler!
Happy...
Silly...
Pain...
Sad...
and silly again...
The rapidly changing moods of Griffin Miles! LOL!
We decided to stop for a treat on the way home...this is as far as G went. I think he was tuckered out! Normally he plays pretty hard in the tubes.
It didn't take long for G to steal the last bit of my cone...and he would NOT let me have it back! What a sticky mess!
YUM! All done!
The good news: Griff's kidneys and bladder are 100% healthy and normal. The bad news: he has an external infection. So we have to try and help it heal and it could take a really long time because every time he pees it hinders the process. So grateful for health insurance and world-renowned specialists just a short drive away. And Grandmas willing to go along for the ride and help with the distracting and chasing of a spunky toddler boy! And the fact that we're still nursing otherwise the ultrasound, blood pressure check, and doctor visit would have been so much worse. Just one of those moments where I felt God was showing me how he sees and knows the future- and that I can trust him with all the details. Sometimes things seem hard now...but God knows what is coming and is making sure you're ready for it!
