June 16th: Today we celebrated Pax's THIRD birthday and Makenna's FIRST birthday! Unfortunately it was a wet day but that didn't slow down the little people. And it was still really warm which made it nice for the big people:)
Who wouldn't want to start their day with a little naked drumming?
Look who put their pants on ALL BY THEMSELVES for the first time!! He is SO proud of himself!! (Don't mind that both legs are in one hole- not bad for the first attempt!)
Pax had this super cool 4-wheeler to ride on at his party. Griff loved riding with him and, of course, chasing him!
Don't worry! Pax didn't actually run over Griff's foot- it just looks like it. They were laughing so hard and having so much fun!
There was a face-painter there! Both Pax and Griff got Lightning MacQueen!
Griff did so well holding still (not his normal strong-suit!)
THEN he found the ROCKS!!
Too soon it was time to leave and head over to the birthday girl's party...Griff was very happy to realize the fun wasn't over!
TONKA! Doggie! Tail! (Griffin loves doggie tails and Tonka was so patient and gentle.)

Later on Griff would try this (wet) slide, on his belly, face first...He shot off the end of the slide about 3 feet into the wood chips!! Needless to say he got a bath when we got home!!
Did I mention it was also windy? This is the group effort to untangle the balloons!
It's almost impossible to get this kid to slow down long enough to eat...so we brought the food to him!

Griff showed her how it's done and even tried to "help" her get the hang of it...
Once it was on a spoon Makenna was up for a taste. (Seriously though, do you see those crocodile tears?)
Griff literally never stopped moving...now he's off and riding a "bike".

Remember how I said he took a header off the slide? He was so dirty we rinsed him off in the itty-bitty sink on-site before heading home.
And he found a way to make it fun! Pour water out and onto the ground while mommy dances to avoid getting wet.
Naked (except for a diaper) and headed (unhappily) home...it's time to go when you run out of dry clothes!
